latest Pre-release ( version 2451) Does not close properly on Windows XP SP3

• Dec 27, 2009 - 03:39

David;
Per your request i am attaching a screen shot of my i/o preferences to this post. To recap the problem. When I close MuseScore using file/quit, the window closes properly, but the process remains active in task manager and the only way to close it is a force kill in task manager. It is possible to have multiple instances of Musescore running, each using up memory resources.

Keith

Keith, does this happen every time you start and quit MuseScore? Do you have any other MuseScore windows open when you quit?

For what it is worth, my I/O settings are the same as the ones shown in your screenshot, but I can't reproducing the problem.

If there is anyone else experiencing the same problem, please join the conversation.

David;
Yes it happens every time I use MuseScore. I have no other MuseScore windows open. I just ran a quick experiment before entering this reply. i started windows taskmanager, opened Musescore and found the process in the taskmanager process view. I then switched to MuseScore and exited the program via File/Quit. The window immediately closed, but the process remained active using 40,000+ Kb of memory for a full 5 minutes+ before I did a stop process from taskmanager. This has been consistent since I installed the latest pre-release after rebuilding windows on this system.

Keith
