Musescore 4 Crashes when I open my file.

Hi. I'm a teacher who was working on a large collection of warmup material for my kids next year. Now, whenever I attempt to open the file to continue working on it, the window closes. Musescore doesn't crash, because any other musescore windows I have open stay open. If I try to open the file when musescore is closed, musescore does crash and I get an error message. I tried opening the file on both my personal computer (Windows) and my work computer (Mac). Is there any way for me to salvage my work? I updated Musescore and it still isn't working.
