Adding BASS notes to align with treble notes, Moonlight Sonata

I am beginner. Trying to add the second base cord to line up with the appropriate treble note as shown in the PDF. Can't seem to find a way to do it. I was wondering if there are any tutorials that take you through creating a song from start to finish. Like Moonlight Sonata for example.
