can't copy & paste in newest musescore version (4.0.2)
Hi guys
I need help asap, this is driving me insane.
I'm trying to use musescore to write a piece of music for uni work and just want to copy and paste sections of the music I've written to save time but for some reason it's not working? I updated to 4.0.2 to see if this would help but it doesn't seem to have made a difference, as it hasnt been working ever since I finally updated from musescore 3 to 4 and 4.0.1.
I was under the impression you could just select the section you want to copy+paste, then use ctrl+c and ctrl+z or the actual right-click copy paste option to do this, but none of these methods are working
If anyone knows a fix for this please let me know

Did you mean ctrl-v to paste? ctrl-z is undo.

yeah sorry, must've made a typo, I meant ctrl+c and crtl+v
I've had a 'spontaneous' issue where Shift-left click won't even select. If this is your issue try this. Save your work. close it and re-open it. I've had this issue in v3 (I don't use v4 because my old laptop doesn't support it).

I can select stuff okay, it’s just pasting that doesn’t seem to function, but thanks anyway. I might see if I can just re-download v3 or something for now

You never had to delete MU3 to begin with.
I'm not having a trouble with c+p.
What kind of system are you on?
I also noticed I can't use the mouse to copy & paste. When I highlight something to copy and right click the mouse when I choose copy the highlighted area reverts and nothing is copied. The keyboard commands work fine.
I'm having this problem in 4.2.1 running on Linux, Appimage. It's not just you. Menu doesn't work, keyboard doesn't work - copy and paste appears to do exactly nothing.
