Pressing the keyboard icon in text edit in last build by lasconic brought up the input keyboard.
In r1923, pressing the keyboard icon does not bring up the input keyboard (F2) and causes mscore to leave text edit mode and hide the text pallet. The keyboard shorcut F2 cause the same behavior.

Should note that this is a build i did today myself from svn.
It's not a mac related problem. I can reproduce on windows as well.
Where is the keyboard icon??
If you use a recent version, when you double click a text, a new toolbar appears. The keyboard icon is the fist icon of this toolbar.
The textkeyboard should work again in rev. 1924.
